Steel Valley Beacon Arts announce our Homegrown Festival

From September  the 9th to the 25th we will be hosting a large variety of Drama, Music, Comedy, and all kinds of performance and art in and around the Stocksbridge and Deepcar areas.

To find out more please see the full Programme of Events

22 years ago, Steel Valley Beacon Arts formed to bring opportunities to members of our community to get involved in the arts. Primarily we have “done shows” and built a healthy theatre company but our aim has always been to support other artists where we can. Homegrown is the fifth arts event we have organised and by far the biggest. Steel Valley Beacon Arts’ home is Christ Church, who have opened their doors to provide space for lots of the events to take place.

The Upper Don Arts Community (UDAC) forum formed in 2021 with the aim of supporting the arts in the Upper Don Valley, we have joined forces with them to develop the festival.
